RADIOTHON TELETHON VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
NEW FOR 2013
- You may only sign up for ONE Radiothon volunteer shift. In order to accommodate the extraordinary number of folks that want to help out during the Radiothon event, we are limiting the number of shifts each volunteer may participate in. You will only be allowed to select one shift from the list below, allowing more individuals to participate. If you have any questions, please contact Kelly Partner at
Staff table with auction items and laptops so visitors can view online auction.
Help to return the Children's Hospital Lobby to normal. Duties may include, stacking chairs, unplugging phone lines, moving items from the lobby to storage, etc.
Work with children in the Children's Hospital outpatient clinic to draw pictures and create artwork which can be used for the Kids Cards program.
Stand at hospital entrance to direct volunteers/event attendees on where to go.
Kohl’s Online Resource Center:
A web site dedicated to keeping children and families healthy, well and active! Volunteers would be asked to assist visitors with the computer online resource by showing them how to work the site and the benefits associated. Visiting this website provides guests with important health tips, recipes, and articles along with finding answers to everyday health questions.
License Plate/Payroll Deduction Table:
Help to register individuals for an upgraded N.C. Children's Promise license plate. Also, assist with registering UNC employees with automatic payroll deduction to the Children's Hospital.
Phone Bank Motivator:
Motivates phone room during shift by handing out incentive prizes to callers and keeping the energy high.
Phone Bank Operator:
Volunteers will answer phones following prepared script and take pledge information from callers. Information will be entered into a laptop computer so light computer skills needed.
Serve as a liaison between phone bank and DJ area and assist with other miscellaneous projects as needed.
Check in volunteers as they arrive, hand out giveaways, direct them to assigned duties.
